GRAMMAR SPOT
The tense used in the Present Simple because present habits and general truth are described.
3. Have is used in texts a-c because they are giving formal and factual information in writing, and have is uesed in more formal writing.
Have got is used in texts d and e. It is more likely used in when speaking informally.

John was teling his friends about his house in the country. “it’s a beautiful place,” he said. “To the north, there are green fields. To the west there is a high mountain. It’s always covered with snow. To the east and south there is forest. It’s really beautiful in the morning.
The sun comes up from behind the mountain, the birds sing, and everything seems fresh and new.”
“Do you really have a house in the country?” said Peter. “A part of your story is not true.”
What part is not true? Can you find it?
