-in vain (idm.)=with no result, uselessly (v« Ých, kh«ng cã kÕt qu¶)
-retreat into one’s shell (idm.)=become more shy
-inept (a.)=completely unskillful, not tactful ( vông vÒ,l¹c lâng )
-slip away (v.)=leave quietly without being noticed ( chuån, lÎn ®i )
-inadequate (a.)=not sufficiently able or confident; not good enough ( thiÕu tù tin, kh«ng ®ñ kh¶ nang)
-grow out of sth (v.)=(become too old for sth and) stop doing it; overcome (kh¾c phôc ®îc)
-dispirited (a.)=discouraged, depressed ( ch¸n n¶n)
