2. Who do the old- aged parents live with?
- There are 2 ,3 or 4.
- They live with their children and grandchildren
Talk about Vietnamese family
- Do you think , it’s a good idea when three or four generations live in a home?
- Do you agree that the old-aged parents should live with their children or grandchildren?
* Task 1: work in pairs, each pair choose one topic in Task 1, and show their point of view to each other. Then come to another topic.

- It is not polite to asks questions about age, marriage and income
- Americans can greet anyone in the family first.
- Groceries are bought once a week
- Christmas and New Year holidays are the most important.
- Asking about age, marriage and income is acceptable.
- A Vietnamese greets the head of the family or the oldest person first, then the younger ones
- Groceries are bought everyday
- Tet (Lunar New Year) is the most important.
- Children sleep in their own bedrooms
- Children often sleep with their parents
Task 3: Work in groups: Talk about the similarities and differences between Vietnamese and American cultures, using the features discussed in Task 2
