VOCABULARY - saying (n) - two-thirds(fraction) - hold up(v) - three-fourths(fraction) - agricultural(a) - Africa(n) - firewood(n) - respect(n) -> "women hold up half the sky" (an old chinese saying) -> In Africa, 3/4 of all working hours are done by women >< industrial -> She collects firewood until 4.00p.m then comes back home -> As a student, you must show your respect to your teacher LISTEN AND REPEAT WHILE-LISTENING

Talk about the life of a typical African woman Questions for discussion 1. What does she get up? and then what does she do? 2. How long does it take her to walk to the field and to work there? 3. What does she do per day? 4. What do you think about her? => At 4.45.am,she gets up, washes, and eats.It takes her an hour to walk to the field ,and she works there until 3.00 pm. She collects firewood until 4.00 pm then comes back home. She spends the next hour and a half preparing food to cook. Then she collects water for another hour. From 6.30 to 8.30 she cooks. After dinner, she spends an hour washing the diskes. She then goes to bed at 9.30 pm. HOMEWORK
