Tòa nhà Empire State là một tòa nhà 102 tầng tại giao điểm của Đại lộ 5 và Phố 34 Wall Street . Nó được hoàn thành vào năm 1931 và là tòa nhà cao nhất thế giới
cho đến năm 1972 khi tòa nhà World Trade Center (WTC) hoàn thành. Độ cao: 381 m
Sau sự kiện 11 tháng 9, khi tòa nhà World Trade Center bị phá hủy,
Tòa nhà này một lần nữa trở thành tòa nhà cao nhất New York.
Quảng trường Thời đại nằm ở trung tâm Manhattan, New York, nổi tiếng với những ánh đèn màu, các nhà nhà hát và những rạp chiếu bóng. Vào đêm giao thừa hàng ngàn người tụ tập tại đây để theo dõi quả cầu lớn chuyển động dần từ nóc toà nhà số 1 xuống khi thời khắc năm mới đến gần.
