I. Aims:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
-Ss know how to use the present perfect tense.
-SS study the contrast in use between the present perfect tense and past simple tense.

-Ask Ss to look at the pictures and ask: Have you ever donbe these things?
-Guide Ss to discuss other similar things SS have done.
-Play the tape for Ss to mark the sentences true or false.
-Check the answers.

-Write the gapped sentences on the board for Ss to complete.

-Divide Ss into groups to discussw how the English present perfect tense compares with similar tenses in their own languages.
-Invite Ss to ring or underlined have/has & the present participle in the sentences.
-Ask to find out examples of regular & irregular past participles.

-Ask: How do we make past participle?



-Ask Ss to work individually to complete the sentences.





-Check the answers.
-Require Ss to say what they have done.
-Give example and ask Ss to make questions.
Ex: Have you ever been in a play?

-Suggest Ss to make questions and answers.

-Guide Ss to complete the crossword.

-Ask Ss to read out the two extracts from the text and identify the different tenses used in each.

-Give note: we use the past participle tense to talk about experiences up to now. We use the past simple tense to talk about a particular experience in the past.

-Ask Ss to look at the text and the pictures and ask:
Who is the womwn?
What’s she watching on TT?
-Give Ss time to read the sentences and supply the second half.





-Play the tape for Ss to listen and answer the questions.
-Feedback.
-Ask Ss to look at the questions and decide on the answers.






-Play the tape for Ss to check their answers.

-Summarize the main points of unit.
-Assign homework.
