=> We can use this structure to emphasize SUBJECT, OBJECT (noun, pronoun) and ADVERB
1. Peter lent us the money.
It was Peter who lent us the money.
2. I love you.
It’s you that I love.
3. She is going shopping today.
It’s today that she’s going shopping.
It + be + stressed words + relative clause
It + be + stressed words + rel. clause
Description of the contents
Nick bought a diamond ring for Julie yesterday.
=> It was Nick who/ that bought a diamond ring for Julie yesterday.
=> It was Julie who/ that Nick bought a diamond ring for yesterday.
=> It was a diamond ring that Nick bought for Julie yesterday.
=> It was yesterday that Nick bought a diamond ring for Julie.
NOTE:

Nick didn’t bought a diamond ring for Julie yesterday.
=> It wasn’t Nick who/ that bought a diamond ring for Julie yesterday.
+ We can use negative in cleft sentences
It + be + not + stressed words + relative clause
My husband didn’t send the bill.
=> It wasn’t my husband who/that sent the bill
NOTE:
Description of the contents
=> It was the parents that were angry.
+ In Subject focus, a plural Subject require a plural verb
The children were playing in the garden.
=> It was the children who/ that were playing in the garden.
The parents were angry.
NOTE:
She is a teacher.
=> It is she who is a teacher.
=> It is her who is a teacher.
I am responsible for the project.
=> It is I who am responsible for the project.
=> It is me who is responsible for the project.
+ In Subject focus, when Subject is a pronoun, there are 2 ways:

Mary keeps a pig in the garden shed.
=> Mary is the person who keeps a pig in the garden shed.
=> The person who keeps a pig in the garden shed is Mary.
=> The place where Mary keeps a pig is the garden shed.
=> What Mary keeps in the garden shed is a pig.
=> We can put the stressed words BEFORE or AFTER
The reason why Jack went to Paris was to meet his son.
The day when Jack went to Paris to meet his son was Tuesday.
