So when did I use an adjective ending with ING and when with an adjective ending with ED?
Rules
N(st) V_ing (expresses the influence of st on us)
N(sb) V_ed (expresses our feeling)
Ex: Giang isn`t good at math.
Giang is worried about his math./ His math make him worried.
Math is worrying to him./ He find his math worrying.
2.It was not until.....that .....:
Ex: I did not study English before 1993.
I started studying English in 1993.
It was not until 1993 that I started studying English.
(time/ clause of time) clause (simple past)
Usage: " It is/ was not until.that.." is used to emphasize the time of the beginning of an action, an event.
Forms
1. It was not until + time /clause of time + that + clause (S+V2/ed)
2. It was not until+ clause + that + clause
(QKĐ) (QKĐ)
Ex: I did not know how to ride bicycle until went to high school.
=>It was not until I went to high school that I
knew how to ride bicycle.
3. Article :
a / an and the
Examples :
Yesterday I bought a dictionary and an English book. The dictionary is expensive and the English book is cheaper.
What are the rules for using articles ?
A/an: (Indefinite articles) + indefinite noun
The (Definite article) + definite noun
IV.HOMEWORK

2. Complete the exercise in text book.
3. Make sentences with the structure
