Van Cao is known as a very talented musician and highly appreciated by the Vietnamese people.
He was born on November 15th 1923 in Nam Dinh city, into a poor family.
He started composing music when he was very young. And the first song which made him famous very quickly after was “Tien Quan Ca”. The song was chosen to be the National Anthem of our country in 1944.
He created a lot of artistic works such as songs, poems, paintings. But every knew much about him as a musician with a lot of beautiful songs like : Lang Toi, Suoi Mo…
He died on July 10th 1995.
