She was born in 1968 in Canada. She is not only a singer but also a songwriter, an actress and an entrepreneur.
CELINE DION
It was not until she met her manager and her future husband, Réne Angélil, who financed her first record that she became a teen star.
She released many albums such as Unison, Celine Dion, The Color of My Love, Falling into you, Let’s talk about love, One Heart, Miracle…
She was famous for many song like: Beauty and the Beast, My heart will go on, Where does my heart beat now, Power of Love, The Color of My Love, All by myself,…..
With her songs, Celine Dion was nominated 22 Grammy Awards and was awarded 9.
She had many tours around the world.
A lot of her singles were on the top of Billboard100 in many countries.
The most successful from the album “Let’s talk about it” became the classically influenced ballad “My heart will go on” . Serving as the love theme for the 1997 blockbuster film Titanic, the song topped the charts across the world,
…and became Dion`s signature song as well as winning the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song. The song also gave Dion two Grammy Awards for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" and the most coveted "Record Of The Year", (the song itself won four awards)
In 1999, she received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame and also a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in January 2004.
In 2007, Celine Dion was ranked by Forbes Magazine as the 5th richest woman in entertainment with an estimated net worth of US$250 million.
She also received France`s highest award, the Légion d`honneur, in May 2008.
In August 2008, she received an honorary doctorate in music from the Université Laval in Quebec City.
