- Pop is often distinguished from other type due to some artistic style traits such as dance beats or beats, easy-listening melodies, along with some section of the song that are repeated.
- Pop is more focused on Rock in term of melody and rhythm, softer sound, often appearing in songs by Celine Dion, Madonna, Frank Sinatra…
- Pop music began in the 1950s and originated from rock and roll. In the 1980s, the most notable Pop star was Michael.

- Country music is a traditional blend music found popular in the USA and Canada.
