Class description
There are 45 students between 16-17 years old, most of them are girls, in 11D1, Yen Hoa High School. This is specialized English class; therefore their level of English is a little bit higher than others’. In general, their four English skills are quite good. Especially, they can communicate in English very well. However, specifically, the ability to acquire knowledge is quite different.
+ The number of slower students: 15 %
+ The number of average students: 65%
+ The number of good students: 20 %
It can be said that the number of average students are the majority of the class. They can do most of the tasks given; however, they can do them a little bit more slowly than the good ones. The good students almost master all basic grammar rules in English, especially their presentation skill is very. The slow students still have many difficulties in doing exercises in the text book. However, all of them are familiar with many types of tasks like multiple choices, gap filling, transformation…
Listening skill is strength of the class. Therefore, the task should be a little bit difficult. However, there are some students who are not very good at listening, so some easy and guided task will be included.
The class atmosphere is not very ebullient. The students rarely raise their voice; therefore warm- up activity and some games are encouraged to arouse the class.
