Choose correct pronunciation
General rule
- write: t pronounce: /t/
- write: d pronounce: /d/
- Khi thêm “ed” vào sau 1 động từ, ta đọc:
/id/: khi âm cuối của V là ‘t / d’
/t/: khi âm cuối của V là ‘k, p, s, sh, ch, f’
/d/: đối với các âm cuối còn lại ‘r, l, …’

Example
A bull was blocking the road, so we didn’t arrive on time

2. They weren’t paying attention, so they didn’t see the sign marking their exit from the highway.

3. Carol didn’t answer the phone because she was studying.
If Carol hadn’t been studying, she would have answered the phone.
4. The sun was shining, so we went to the beach yesterday.
