GRAMMAR:
I. Modal Verbs: MAY / MIGHT
May/ Might + V- infinitive
- We use may/ might to talk about present or future possibility.
- “Might” is normally a little less sure than “may”.
Exercise 1: Work with a partner. Use “may or might” and talk about Andy’s presents
a. book/game
- It may be a book or it might be a game.
b. box of crayons/box of paints
c. football / basketball
d. boat / train
e. flying saucer / meteor
f. evening star / spacecraft

II. Conditional sentence type I
Ex: If you study hard, you will pass the exam.
If - clause
Main - clause
It can be used to describe situations and consequences that are possible in the present or future
Exercise 2. match each half sentence in A with a suitable one in B
Ex: If it rains this evening, I won’t go out
complete the sentences with the correct form of verbs
Ex: I (visit) My dinh Stadium, if I (go) Ha noi
=> I will visit My dinh stadium, if I go to Ha noi
a. Lan (go) Dam Hong high school if she (pass) the final exam
Lan will go to Dam hong high school, if she passes the final exam
b. If Nam (have) lots of money he (buy) a new bike
=> If Nam has lots of money he will buy a new bike
Complete the conditional sentences, using the cues in brackets
