Rub out and remember
Task 1: Read the passage and find all the verbs in the past and the connectors in the story.

Connectors:
on that day, at first, then, just, a few minutes later, one hour later.

Narrative
What is a narrative?
-> It’s a writing that tells a story.
-In a narrative paragraph, you relate a sequence of events. This sequence may lead to a climax (like task 2)
A narrative paragraph usually has a topic sentence: tell reader who/what the point of the paragraph is.
Time order: organize your sentences
First, then, next, finally, afterwards, meanwhile……
Order of events: The following set of sentences are not in the correct time order. Number the sentences in the correct order.
…..Our vacation in Florida last month was a real disaster.
…..On the way to the airport, the taxi broke down.
…..We got a new hotel room after arguing with the manager
…..When we arrived back home, we found that water had flooded our house because of a broken pipe.
…..All in all, we should have stay at home.
…..We had to wait several hours for the next flight.
…..When we arrived at our hotel in Miami, our reservations had been canceled because we were late.
…..We missed our plane to Miami.
