Lesson 7: Looking Back and Project
Hanami is the compound word for “Hana” meaning flower and “Mi” means watching. Hanami means flower and this is also the names of most famous festival in Japan- Cherry Blossom Festival. This festival has a long history of thousands of years, and is considered the national holiday of Japan and is an indispensable feature in Japanese culture.
Starting from the end of March to early April, cherry blossom all over Japan burst into bloom for about 2 weeks, and this time considered to be the best time to enjoy the beauty of flower, cherry and feel the spring air is approaching . Hanami festival lasts day and night for about two weeks. The cherry blossoms become the beauty everywhere, the sky brightened. In the cold weather, the wind blow through the various petals of cherry flying in the wind to creative a beautiful scene love, vibration
People gather under the blossoming cherry trees, organize outdoor parties, eat, talk and sing together day and night. Japanese people often prepare there own traditional dishes such as sushi, bento rice and drink often viewed while watching the flower called Hanamizake.
At the Hanami Festival, you can easily catch a glimpse of Japanese girl in a traditional kimono under the cherry blossom, the families joking around, all make a bold mark. For the Hanami special flower festival of cherry blossoms country
