I.Vocabulary
Task 1:Finding: compound nouns+ the meanings + meanings of their parts
1.Video game: a game in which players control and move images on a screen.
2.smartphone: a mobile phone that has some functions of a computer.
3.laptop: a portable , small computer that can work with a battery.
4.e-book : a book that is displayed on a computer screen or an electronic device.
5.Email : a way of sending messages to other people by using a computer.
Task2.Match the first parts of the words with the second ones.

III.GRAMMAR
Gerund and infinitive
a. Gerunds and infinitives: V- ing is used after for and To inf. is used to describe purpose of something.
=> S + use +sth+ to-V/for Ving
S + is used +to-V/ for -Ving
Task 1:Complete the definitions or uses using V-ing or To- infinitive
=>Key:
1. getting, sending
2. to create, to contract

5. chopping, mixing
6. to store
Task 2: Describe an item in your classroom or house
+ Example
- This is used for making clothes clean.
-It is a washing machine.
-That’s right.
The present perfect
b. The present perfect tense
Task 1: label the timelines below with the words from the box
+ The present perfect describe an event or action happening in the past but having a result in the present
=>S + has/ have + P2
( just, already, recently, up to present, so far, up to now, since, for…)
Task 2: Matching and complete the sentences with the verbs in the present simple or the present perfect

Task 3:Read the paragraph and choose the correct verb tense
