Unit 4: Our customs and traditions

Our group`s name : super panda . There are 5 members in our group:


Nam, Tuan, Hung ,Hoang and Quoc.
You are a vietnamese people so we think you can know some traditions and customs of vietnam.
LET’S SEE SOME PICTURES AND GUESS THE NAME OF THEM.
Making "banh chung" and "banh giay" at Tet

And this is a intersesting custom of Vietnamese peoples.
Do you know it?
As everyone knows, vietnam is a multi-cultural country because there are 54 ethnic groups. It`s also the reason that there are some customs and traditions in vietnam. We are the Kinh and at the past we followed some good customs and traditions and One of them is vistiting pagoda at the new year`eve. This custom has changed and lat`s know more about it.
At the past, people choose the good day to go to pagoda and wish. They hope they will have a safe and lucky life.
But Today they do that in the new year’s eve and all of the day at Tet.
At the past, each village has a own pagoda. And they go to this pagoda to wish.
Now, this custom is changed. Because of the mantal, people go to the pagoda which they hear it is miraculous. It’s so bad.
To go to the pagoda, we should bring
You need to bring some incenses to burn them
You also have to carry a fruit tray when going to pagoda.
And these are ST that you shouldn’t do when going to pagoda
Don`t smoke when staying inside the pagoda
Don`t watch the Buddha statue like watching a artwork.
