Lesson 2 : LANGUAGE
I. Vocabulary
Adj ending with the following Suffix:
* ed adjectives
Adjectives that end ‘-ed’ describe emotions – they tell us how people feel about something.
*-ing adjectives
Adjectives that end ‘-ing’ describe the thing that causes the emotion.
*The adjectives with :
-ful : Meaningful or representative
-less : Opposite meaning of the origional adj
II/ PRONUNCIATION. HOW TO PRONUNCE
THREE SOUNDS: /nd/, /ŋ/, /nt/
Listen and repeat.
III. GRAMMMAR
Irregular past tense verbs.
Many verbs have irregular positive past simple forms. There are no spelling rules for these forms, so you need to learn them by heart.
Eg:
Do -> Did
Go ->Went
Have > Had
The past simple vs the past continuous with when and while
We can join two actions
+ WHEN: Short action ( simple past)
+ WHILE : Long action ( past continuous)
=> There are 4 basic combinations:
REMEMBER
