I. GRAMMAR
* Imperatives with more and less
FORM:
VERB + MORE / LESS + NOUN.
USE:
The imperative can be used for direct, commands, orders or suggestions. (Câu mệnh lệnh dùng để hướng dẫn, ra lệnh, yêu cầu hoặc gợi ý)
II. PRACTICE
1. Look at the pictures. Use the imperatives with more or less above. (Ex 1/ p.19)
Sleep more.
Spend less time
playing computer games.
- Eat less fat food.
- Do more exercise.
Sunbathe less.

and it helps you to
concentrate at school. You
will also be fresher in the

iii. Compound sentences
when we want to join two ideals, we can link two simple sentences to form compound sentences. We can do this using a coordinating conjunction like and ( for addition), or (for choice), but (for contrast), or so (for a result).
Conjunction (liên từ)
AND – OR – BUT – SO
* FORM
Simple sentence, + and /or /but /so + Simple sentence.
* USE
There is usually a comma(,) after the first independent clause.
* REMEMBER
iv. Further practice
1.Combine two sentences by using the conjunction given. Remember to add a comma.(Ex. 4/p.20)
1. I want to eat some food. I have a sore throat. (but)
2. The Japanese eat healthily. They live for a long time. (so)
3. I feel tired. I feel weak. (and)
4. You can go and see the doctor. you can go to bed now and rest. (or)
I want to eat some food, but I have a sore throat.
The Japanese eat healthily, so they live for a long time.
I feel tired, and I feel weak.
