THE LONGEST RIVER.
The two longest rivers in the world are the Amazon and the Nile.
The Amazon begins in stream near the top of mountain called Cerro Huagra.The stream is called the Huarco.Later the Huarco becomes a river which is known as the Ucayali.The Ucayali then becomes the Amazon.The length of the Amazon from the beginning of the Huarco to the Atlantic Ocean is 6,448 km.
The Nile begins in a stream which flows from Ruanda to lake Victoria.When it leaves Victoria,the river is known as the White Nile and flows through Sudan.Further North,it becomes the Nile and flows through Egypt into the Mediterranean Sea.The Nile is 222 Kms longer than Amazon.
