I. Aims & objectives:

To help the students to talk about past events
To help them talk about past experiences.

To help the students practice listening comprehension
To help students be familiar with exercises : number the sentences.
+ Education aim:
To help the students develop skills, especially listening and speaking skills.
1. Language:
Vocabulary: welcome back, wonderful, friendly, gift, ….

b. Structures: past tense with irregular verbs.
2. Skills: integrated skills
3. Educational factor: - Helping the students to comprehend the importance of friendship it means when you are on holiday you should buy some interesting things for your friends.
II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation:
1. Method: Communicative approach.
2. Techniques: using pictures, pairwork, explaination, ask & answer.
3. Material needed: Text book, picture, cassette, tape…
4. Students’preparation: Vocabulary & pictures.
III. Procedures in class:
1. Stabilization: + a. Warm up: Greetings. (Good morning, class? / How are you?

I-Lead in:
-Asks the students if they like travelling and where they often go on summer holidays.
-Asks the students if they know Nha Trang or some famous places in Nha Trang or where abouts people often go and visit in Nha Trang.
-Tells them to pay attention to the conversation between Ba and Liz about Liz’s trip to Nha Trang.
-Asks them to identify the places Liz’s family visited and what they did there.
-Lets them listen to the dialogue
II-.Pre-practice:

III.Controlled-practice:

- Has them practice in pairs, then change their roles.

-Asks two pairs to read the diaolgue aloud.
- Has sts answer the questions in pairs then practice in front of the class.
IV Free practice:
Answer the questions:
1- Did you go to Nha Trang?
2-What places did you visit?
3- Did you buy any souvenirs ?
4- Do you like travelling ?
V-. Consolidation:
Recalls the students the lesson they just learned.
-Lets them listen to the tape again

-Listen to the teacher and try to give the answers.
-Answer, name the places of interset where people often visit in Nha Trang.

-Listen to the cassette notice what Liz and ba are talking about.
-Indentify the places Liz’s family visited in Nha Trang and what they have done.










-Listen and notice the structure of the simple past tense.
