 - Makes greeting
WARM UP: Jumble words
Leads SS to play a mini game
Divides the class into two groups.
Gives the rules of game:
Shows pictures with their titles whose letters are not in right order.
In 2 minutes, lets each group rearrange the letters in correct order and go to the board write their answer down.
The group which has the fastest answer will be the winner.

BEFORE SPEAKING:
-Teaches some new words
*Vocabulary:
+ launch /lɔ:ntʃ/ (v) = lift off: phóng,ném
+ milestone/ˈmaɪlˌstoʊn/ (n): a very important stage or event in the development of something: mốc lịch sử



+ manned spacecraft /mændˈspeɪskrɑːft/(n) :a spacecraft having a human crew: tàu vũ trụ có người lái

+ satellite/ˈsæt lˌaɪt/ (n) : vệ tinh

- Teaches some necessary words by explaining, showing picture, giving example
- Reads 2 times, ask Ss to repeat and then take notes
- Calls some Ss to read aloud

Checking vocabulary:
“Rub out and remember”
-Reads in Vietnamese and then asks Ss to read in English

WHILE- SPEAKING:
- Asks Ss to look at the picture in textbook

- Asks Ss what it is, what name it is



Task 1: Work in pairs. Read the piece of news in the textbook, use these following cues to ask and then answer questions.
- Reads a piece of the news, emphasize some keys words.
- Asks Ss to underline some milestones of events like time, name which can be answered for WH question
- Asks Ss to pay attention to the verb in sentences
- Gives handout and instruction

Example:
A.into pace/its/launch/China/did/When/first manned spacecraft?
( When did China launch its first manned spacecraft into space?
B: On October 15, 2003
- Asks Ss to work in pairs in 5 minutes to ask and answer like a conversation
- Goes around to check and help

- Calls on some pairs to practice ask and answer.
- Gives feedback
