Simple present Tense
1. Form
two kinds:
a. Ordinary Verb:
V /Vs /Ves
- Positive Sentences:
I, We, You, They, Ns + V
She, He, It, N + Vs / Ves

Example:
+ I like apple.
- I don’t like apple.
? Do you like apple?
Yes, I do.
No, I don’t.
Example:
+ She studies English.
- She doesn’t study English.
? Does she study E?
Yes, she does.
No, she doesn’t.

2. Usage:
2.1: 1Present Simple expresses truths, habits, repeated actions, unchanging situations, emotions, and wishes.
Example:
- The sun rises in the east. (a truth)
- I wake up at seven o’clock. (a habit)
- She meets me every Sunday. (a repeated actions)
- I work in New York. (an unchanging situation)
- I love blue flowers. (an emotion)
- He wants to pass his last exam. (a wish)
2. Usage:
2.2: To express fixed arrangements, schedules or timetables:
Example:
- Your flight takes off at 09.00
- My exams start on Monday.
- His mother arrives tomorrow.
- Our holiday starts on the 26th March.
2. Usage:
2.3: To express future time, after some conjunctions: after, when, before, as soon as, until:
Example:
- It will be ready as soon as you arrive this evening.
- I will meet you when you come on Sunday..
- She‘ll see you before she leaves.
- We’`ll give it to her after she arrives.
2. Usage:
2.4: To give instructions or directions:
Example:
- You walk for two hundred metres, then you turn left.
- Open the packet and pour the contents into hot water.
- You take the No.6 bus to Watney and then the No.10 to Bedford.
Time Expressions:
always, usually, regularly, normally, often, sometimes, occasionally, frequently, as a rule, rarely, seldom, never,… every____ (every day, every week, every night, …..), twice a week, once a week, ...
