Tet is:
Tet (Lunar New Year) is the most important holiday in Vietnam, under the cultural influence of the Chinese Lunar New Year and East Asian cultures.
History:
Lunar New Year`s Day originated from China and was imported to Vietnam in 1000.

Beliefs
Good :
Apricot: After Eve, if apricot has 5 wings and full bloom much more then that is a sign luck. And even more lucky to have 1 or a few flowers have 6 wings.
Stranger dog goes into the house: There is a proverb: Cats come home is difficult; dogs come home is lucky .  
 Peach tree: If many double wing (double flowers) 3 layers (rows) on sepals and is shaped like a rose, it will have much happiness and fortune.
 Kumquat tree: If the tree is sprouting green shoots have many years it will have more luck. If you have enough ripe fruit, green fruit, flowers and buds will luck and success all the year.

January 5th is the Lunar Moon day , Vietnamese people often believe that this day is not appropriate for the exodus.
