to shake who buildings quickly from were cooking
Almost a hundred thousand people were killed and half a million homes were destroyed as a result of an earthquake in Tokyo in 1923. The earthquake began a minute before noon when a lot of people (1) …………….. their lunch. Thousands of stoves were overturned as soon as the earth began (2) …………….. When they first came to America, they saw that there were enough food and opportunity for everyone. They were even helped by the Indians, who taught them how to grow all kinds of vegetables, such as corn and yams or sweeet potatoes
On Thanksgiving Day, it is traditional to eat a big dinner together. Americans eat food that was found here by their ancestors. They usually eat turkey with sweet potatoes, Indian corn bread and have pumpkin pie for dessert.
