II: Mệnh đề trạng ngữ. ( Làm chức năng của 1 trạng từ hay phó từ, mệnh đề trạng ngữ có các loại sau đây)
1. Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ mục đích.
- So that+ Mệnh đề( để mà)
- For the fear that+ mệnh đề ( đề phòng)
.- in case + mệnh đề:( đề phòng, nhỡ khi)
2. Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ nguyên nhân.
- Because + menh de= because of + Danh tu/ V-ing
Since= as = because=for + menh de
3. Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ nguyên nhân.
Where: I will go where you tell me.
Wherever: Sit wherever you like.
4. Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ thời gian.
When+ mệnh đề( khi)
While+ mệnh đề ( trong khi)
Before + Mệnh đề/ Before+ V-ing/
After+ mệnh đề/ after+ V-ing/ After + having+PII
Since+ mệnh đề
AS+ mệnh đề: I saw her as she was leaving home.
Till/ until+ mệnh đề: I will stay here till/ until you get back.
AS soon as + mệnh đề: AS soon as Jim heard the news he wrote to me.
5. Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ kết quả.
SO+tính từ/ trạng từ+ THAT( đến nỗi mà)
Last night He was so tired that he went to bed at 8.
She drove so carelessly that she caused the accident.
Such (a/ an) +Danh từ +THAT:
It was such a hot day that We had to take off our jackets.
6. Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ sự tương phản.
Though/ Although + Mệnh đề ( mặc dù): Có thể đứng đầu câu hoặc giữa câu.
