I. OBJECTIVES :
- Knowledge: Ss can use the question “Where do you live?” & the answer to talk about the places they live.
- Skills: Speaking , listening
II. TEACHING AIDS: Lesson plan; picture of places; tape; place’s name card; poster paper.

Helps Ss to play the game using the classroom imperatives.

GETTING STARTED
- Introduces the requirement & Asks Ss to name the places in the pictures.
- Asks Ss questions about the places where they could take their friend to visit.

- Asks Ss to work in pairs to ask & answer about the places where they could take their friend to visit in their hometown.
- Corrects S’s mistakes & Summarizes S’s information.
1. Getting started:
- Giving the name to the pictures.

c. Dong Xuan market.

e. The eating place.
f. Hanoi Big Theatre.
- Answering the questions:
- I think …. is one of the places I want to take my foreigner friend to.

PRESENTATION
- Introduces the words by explaining the meaning, using the situation.
- Reads the words for the modal (3 times ). Then helps SS to repeat ( 2 times ).
- Checks S’s reading in individual & corrects the mistakes.
- Writes the words on the Bb & checks the meaning & the pronunciation.
- Corrects & asks Ss to copy the words.
