I. Aims and objectives:
* Language content:
- To help the sts review all the structures and vocabulary from Unit 9 to 16.
- To enable the sts to understand and remember the structure well.
* Language function:
- To help them use the language in communication.
- To help them review and use these well in the first term test .
* Educational aims
- To broaden sts’ knowledge about everyday conversation.

a) Vocabulary: review
b) Structures: review
2. Skills: Integrated skills
3. Educational factor: knowing how to have a good and comfortable contact.
II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation:
1. Method: Communicative approach.
2. Techniques: explanation, Q-A, gap- filling, dialogue
3. Material needed: textbook, workbook, sub-board, picture.
4. Students’ preparation: Vocabulary and structures from Unit 9-16
5. Previous exercises: Exercises in Test yourself on page 104-106 (workbook)
III. Pocedure in class.
1. Stabilization: 2ms
a) Warm up: What’s the weather like today?
b) Checking absence: Who’s absent today?
2. Checking up the previous knowledge: 5ms

I. Lead in:
- Asks the ss to lead out some points of graammar they know.
- Asks one to give examples for some of the points.
- Introduces the points from the ss’ asnwer.
II. Pre-practice:
a.Tenses:
* The simple present tense.
((+) S + be(is/am/are) /V/ V(s,es)
(-) S + don’t/ doesn’t + V
(?) Do/ does + S + V?
* The simple past tense.
( S + be (was/ were) + N.
( (+) S + V(ed/V 2nd)
(-) S + didn’t + V
(?) Did + S + V?
* The simple future tense:
( (+) S + will/ shall+ V(bare-inf).
(-) S + won’t/ shan’t + V(bare-inf).
(?) Will/ Shall + S + V?
b. Indefinite quantifiers:
a little; a lot of/ lots of ; too much
c. too and either// so and neither.
d. Imperatives: (Don’t +) V + N
Ex: Peel the onions
e. Adjectives and Adverbs:

f. Modal verbs:
can/ought to/ ... + (not) + V-bare-inf
g. Expressing likes and dislikes.

III.Controlled-practice:
- Hands out the papers with some kinds of exercises, asks the ss to do the exercises individually.
- Calls one by one to go to the board and do the exercise.( For each exercise , lets the ss do at least 3 sentences as guided, and they can do the left at home)
- Gets other ss to correct.
- Gives correction.
IV.Free-practice
- Has the ss work in groups to find some tips when doing these kinds of exercise.
- Gets ss’ answer and corrects.
- Asks the ss to find and corrects the mistakes:
1. Lan can’t French very well but she can to speak English
2. They traveled… to the USA next month.
3. Milk is good at your health.
- Gets ss’ answer and corrects.
- Recalls the lesson content.
