1. Tenses (simple present, present progressive, simple future, be going to, past simple, present perfect, past progressive,…)
I am going to talk to her about that tomorrow.
The students are speaking English at the moment.
He will go to Hue tomorrow.
They correspond once every two weeks.
She has just won the first prize.
Yesterday, she was cooking when the phone rang.
Put the verbs in brackets into the correct tenses
1. We (be)………………………pen pals for over three years.
2. In 1980s jeans finally (become)………………………high fashion clothing.
3. The moon (move)……………………….. around the Earth.
4. I (watch)………………..…….TV at 9 pm yesterday.

2. Wish
S + wish(es) + S + V2/ed………..(be - were)
Ex: I wish I were taller.
She wishes she had a lot of friends.

- Present simple: am, is , are + V3/ed
Ex: Farmers grow rice.
( Rice is grown by farmers.
Exercise: Change into passive voice

- Future simple: will be + V3/ed
Ex: I will meet him later.

4. Mr. White will see you tomorrow.

5. I am going to repair the broken chair.

- Simple past: was / were + V3/ed
Ex: Tom wrote this report yesterday.
( This report was written by Tom yesterday.

- Present progressive: am / is / are + being + V3/ed
Ex: Nam is helping Nga with the homework.
( Nga is being helped with the homework by Nam.

4. Reported Speech:
- Commands: S + asked / told + O + (not) to infinitive
"Read loudly, please" the teacher said to me.
(The teacher asked / told me to read loudly.
He said to her, " Don`t touch that".
(He asked / told her not to touch that.
- Requests: S + asked / told + O + (not) to infinitive
"Can you help me with the homework?" Nam said to Lan.
( Nam asked / told Lan to help him with the homework.
