What are natural resources ?
Animals and plants use these resources to grow, live and prosper on our Earth.
We need oxygen from the
air to breathe, water to drink and
food to eat.
Plants use water
Plants use minerals.
They take from the soil to grow and produce leaves and fruit that can be consumed by animals.

Plants use sunlight.
When a plant or animal dies, it disintegrates and the minerals and resources are returned to the soil and natural world.
With the growth in population and an increase in human consumption, the use of natural resources has increased to a very high level.
The demand for wood, oil, metals and food has increased so much that the earth can no longer provide for all our needs and wants.
But we have filled them with trash, chemicals and waste materials.
We need to stop pollution of our water dies and help them regenerate.

We have released harmful chemicals and pollutants into the air and this has made it difficult for animals,and plant life to exist.
