With 54 ethnic groups, Viet Nam has a rich and diverse culture from the north to the south. This diversity is expressed through people in each region. Vietnamese are proud of having many intangible cultural heritage of the arts of each region and each period.
When coming to Vietnam, international friends will probably admire the traditional festivals of the Vietnamese people in every region : north, south, west and central region.
If you have an occasion to go to Northen region, you shouldn’t miss these festivals:
Xoan Festival is one of Phu Tho`s typical festivals.
This festival commemorates Xuan Nuong- a talented general.
Lim festival is one of the biggest festivals of the year in the North, taking place on January 13 every year in Lim Town, Tien Du District, Bac Ninh Province.
On this day, the Sisters have the opportunity to express traditional vocal tradition in Bac Ninh. Besides, the festival also has many interesting folk games such as wrestling, martial arts, speculation, cooking rice, weaving, ...

SOME FESTIVALS IN THE OTHER REGION:
VIET NAM IS FAMOUS FOR MANY FOLK ART FORMS SUCH AS: QUAN HO SINGING, DON CA TAI TU,... ALL OF THEM WERE RECOGNISED BY UNESCO.
And we would like to introduce you a kind of art in the south. It is « Amateur singer». This is a image of this folk art form.
Amateur singer is the ethnic music of Vietnam recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
This is the art form performed by ordinary people, young men and women in rural Nam Bo singing after working hours. Song of the actor appeared more than 100 years ago, the type of performance of the band consists of four types of pliers, flock, flock and brass.
