I. PRESENT TENSES: present simple; present continuous
1. Present simple
To be: am/is/are
Ordinary verbs:

NOTE:
*Noun / Verbs + es pronounced /iz/ when they are end in x, s, z, ch, sh, ce, ge
Usage:
- Truth / something true for a long time
- Habit, repeated actions
- Schedule of a bus, movie, flight, course…

2. Present continuous

Usage:
- Temporary situation
Ex: I’mstudying really hard for my exams.
- something happening at the moment of speaking
Ex: I’mwaiting for my friends.
- a change / trend / something true for a short time
Ex: The price of petrol is rising dramatically.
- be + ALWAYS / CONSTANTLY / CONTINUALLY / FOREVER + V-ing = a complaint
Ex: You are always talking in class.
Tenses markers:
- now / right now / for the time being / currently / at the moment / at present
- Listen! / Look! / Be careful! = Watch out! = Look out! / Keep silent! / Be quiet!
