I. Aims :
- Ss have a chance to consolidate the language contents they have learnt during the first term.
II. Language contents :
* Gram : a. Present Simple tense b. Present Progressive tense c. Prepositions of position
III. Techniques : - Developing Ss’ skill of using & applying the language contents.
IV. Method : - Communicative approach.
V. Teaching aids : - Textbooks.
VI. Procedures :
* Checking the previous lesson.
- Say the use of Present Simple, Present Progressive.
- Complete the sentences.

A. Warm up :
- T asks Ss some questions, using tenses :
-What are you doing now ? -When do you have Math ?
-What time do you go to school everyday ?
B. New lesson :
T’s and Ss’ activities :
Contents :
1. Presentation :
-T gives some examples.
-Ss study the examples, then draw the structures as well as the notes on the gra. points (Present Simple, Present Progressive, Prepositions of position).
2. Practice :
-Ss are asked to finish the following exercises given by T.
-Ss work independently, then present their answers to class after checking their answers.
-T corrects Ss’ mistakes and give marks to their answers.
3. Production :
-Ss have to present all the structures they have just practiced without looking either their notes or the board.
I. PRESENT SIMPLE :
S + V(s / es)
-She gets up at 5 o’clock every morning.
( Hoạt động thường xuyên, hàng ngày. Thường dùng với : every …, always, often, usually, …
II. PRESENT PROGRESSIVE :
S + is / am / are + V-ing …
( Hoạt động đang diễn ra ngay tại lúc nói ở HT. Thường dùng với : now, at present, at the moment, right now, at this time, … hoặc sau câu mệnh lệnh (Look ! …, Be careful ! …, )
III. PREPOSITIONS OF POSITION :
(on, in, under, next to, in front of, behind, to the left, to the right, between, opposite, …)
-There is a lake next to my house.
-In front of my school is a book shop.
* Exercises :
1. Choose the correct answer :
There is a well (behind, next, near to) Minh’s house.
What time (do, does, are) classes start ?
How many floors does your school (has, have, is) ?
2. Give the correct forms of the Vs :
a. We often (have) breakfast at 6.45 in he morning.
b. She (go) to the zoo now.
c. You must (come) to class on time.
C. Homework : 1. Finish exercise 5 / p.9, 3 / p.22, 6 / p.43. 2. Prepare : Revision (2)
