I. Complete these sentences using the six verbs from the list below. Use each verb only once.
tear up - check up - make out - take up - fill in - take down
1. Please......the cheque to Bloggs Brothers Ltd.

II. Complete these sentences, using the `ing` form where necessary.
e.g. Jack took up (French)
=> Jack took up French.
e.g. Jack took up (fish)
=> Jack took up fishing.

III. Replace the words in italics by the words in brackets. Change the word order if necessary.

4. My son took up stamp-collecting. (it)

IV. Complete the passage using take down/make out/take up.

V. Complete the passage using tear up/fill in/check in.

VI. Use the verbs in brackets to reply to the following.

- tear up: xé rách toang; xé vụn
- check in: kiểm tra an ninh (tại cửa vào sân bay trước khi được phép lên máy bay)
- make out: hiểu thấu; hiểu rõ
- take up: chọn (làm nghề, sở thích…); theo đuổi (nghề)
- fill in: điền vào phiếu, mẫu kê khai…
- take down: ghi chép vào sổ, hồ sơ…
