VOICE
Passive voice
The passive voice is formed with the verb to be and the past participle of the main verb.
The coffee is served by the waiter.
A pizza is cooked by the chef.

The object of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive one.

The verb to be in the passive sentence is in the same tense as the main verb in the active sentence.

In the passive sentence, we use the past participle of the main verb in the active sentence.

When we want to mention who performed the action, we use the word By Agent
PASSIVE VOICE
FORM:
be + V3/ V-ed
Active: S + V + O
Passive: S + be + V3/ V-ed + By +O
How to change into passive voice
Identify Subject, Verb, Object

Active : James carries a new door

Passive: A new door is carried by James.

Active: Jack cleans the dishes

Passive : The dishes are cleaned by Jack.

Passive : The race was won by Philip
 
Active : Theo directed the film.

Passive : The film was directed by Theo

Passive : A Bank was robbed by the thief
