Hello lady and gentlemen, as we know, our environment is more and more polluted, especially the pollution of the ocean is very very serious. Why…? So today our group will have a play to help you know more about the threats to our ocean as well as how to prevent them.

LITTERING
The amount of garbage is constantly increasing every year. That is also the cause for the death of many marine life such as fish, turtles, dolphins, whales,… Nowadays littering has become an important problem people have to face up.
Overfishing
Overfishing depletes stocks of fish beyond their ability to recover, disrupting the ecosystem and eliminating a valuable source of food and income.
In recent years the insatiable demand for both Atlantic cod and bluefin tuna has caused their populations to have declined dramatically leaving them on the edge of extinction.
Oil Spills
No discussion on marine environment can come to a conclusion without mentioning the biggest cause of marine pollution – oil spills. There have been several incidences that can back the fact that oil spills at sea are extremely dangerous and life threatening both to marine ecosystem and to humans.
Dredging
The activity of dredging has been a major result of disturbance in the marine ecosystem since many years. Though steps have been taken to mitigate the effects of dredging on the marine environment, several cases involving destruction of underwater lives are still extensively heard about.
Ocean Acidification
The issue of ocean acidification is quickly becoming dangerous to marine lives and humans. Ocean Acidification has the power to greatly endanger the lives of marine organisms and through them an entire class of people who depend on fish and fish products for their daily sustenance.
