Ngu Hanh Son is located in Ngu Hanh Son ward,
south of Danang city in Vietnam

The five mountains are named under the five elements by Minh Mang King :
Kim(metal),Thuy(water), Moc(wood), Hoa(fire) and Tho(earth).
1. Thuy son(Water) :
Many pagodas : Tu Tam, Tam Tam,
Tam Thai, Vong Hai Dai, …
- Some caves: Van Nguyet, Ngu Coc, Linh Ung, …
Linh Ung cave- the most famous cave at Danang
Thuy son has 3 peaks,
so called Tam Thai mountain.
The highest peak is 106m

Following 156 stone steps -approximately 108 floor level
lead to Linh Ung cave
2. Tho son (Earth) :
- According to legend,
Tho mountain has a cave with a lot of treasures –Chiem Thanh people stored it at this mountain
- 2 famous caves : Hang Coc, Hang Bo De
- 1 pagoda: Dai Hung Tinh
3. Kim son(Metal) :
Kim son is the smallest mountain
It has one cave – was discovered in 1954
4. Moc son(wood):
Moc son has no pagodas but it has one small cave
During the war,local people hid in this cave
5. Hoa son (Fire) :
This mountain has 2 peaks : Duong Hoa Son and Am Hoa Son.
III. Conclusion:
The French called Ngu Hanh Son mountain is a jade stone (đá ngọc bích)
but it is called the Non Nuoc mountains by local people.
