2. Get over + N (chỉ bệnh tật) =to recover from + N (chỉ bệnh tật) =to make a recovery from + N EX: He got over his lung cancer. =He recovered from his lung cancer. =He made a recovery from his lung cancer.
3. S + would like/love/prefer/fancy/ + to V: cách nói chuyện chỉ ước nguyện không có thật ở hiện tại = S + wish(es) + clause.

5. It is pointless + to V: làm gì là vô tích sự. =There is no point in + Ving = It is no good/ use + Ving = It is not worth + Ving EX: It is pointless to go to the airport now. = There is no point in going to the airport now. = It is no good/use going to the airport now. = It is not worth going to the airport now.
6. To say/consider/claim + that + clause: cho rằng cái gì có được là nhờ ai = To attribute st to sb / sb st EX: He claims that his success is due to his working hard. = He attributes his success to his working hard.
7. To listen to st/sb = pay attention to = take notice of EX: He didn’t listen to his doctor’s advice. = He paid no attention to his doctor’s advice. = He didn’t take notice of his doctor’s advice.
8. Refuse + to V = Turn down + Ving = Have no intention of Ving Intend + to V = have intention of Ving.
9. Refuse + to V = deny + Ving/ having P2 EX: He refused to steal my pen. = He denied stealing my pen/ having stolen my pen.
10. To try + to V = to make an effort + to V = to make an attempt + to V = to take the trouble + to V EX: He tries to pass the final exam. = He makes an effort/attempt to pass the final exam. = He takes the trouble to pass the final exam.
11. It + be + difficult/hard + for sb to do st = S + have ( chia theo thời) + difficulty/trouble + in Ving = S + find ( chia theo thời) + it + difficult/hard + to do st EX: It is difficult for him to finish his homework tonight. = He has difficulty in finishing his homework tonight.
