Introduction
Mangoes, Scientific Name:  Mangifera indica

If you haven’t eaten one recently, are deliciously sweet tropical fruits.  In fact, they are one of the most heavily exploited fruits for food, juice, color, and fragrance - native to Southeast Asia but distributed widely in the world. I really love about mangoes.Their taste like a beach vacation, is that they’re always so different depending on where they’re from.

These are one of the most incredible tasting fruits on the planet – aromatic, sweet and sour.
Mango fruits are oval and egg shaped with smooth, soft skin. The skin is usually a combination of green, red, and yellow. The interior flesh is bright orange and soft  with a large. Mangoes and papayas may be confused, but papayas are more bell-shaped than mangoes.
Description
Mango fruits are green when they are unripe.
Mango trees are long-lived evergreen trees that can reach a height of 15 meters and width of 9 meters.
Mango leaves are alternately arranged, long and narrow shaped , 15 centimeters to 40 centimeters in length.
The leaves are pinkish, amber, or pale green-colored when young and become dark green at maturity.
The seed is as long as the fruit itself and is generally 2,5 centimeters or so thick.
Nutritional Value

This is a fruit including various vitamins. When the mango is green the amount of vitamin C is higher, as it ripens the amount of beta carotene (vitamin A) increases."
We generally associate vitamin C with its possible benefits in preventing the common cold, but there are lots of other reasons to pay close attention to your intake. It helps repair wounds, strengthens blood vessels, is vital for healthy teeth and gums and helps your body absorb iron from the food you eat.
It’s an important antioxydant, associated with lowering risk of many chronic diseases. Mangoes are an excellent source of vitamin C, containing almost 40 percent of an adult’s daily requirement.
Health News

As with all fruits, mangoes contain a wealth of nutritionally active compounds. However, mangoes and other tropical fruits have been less investigated than other fruits and so their nutritional properties are less well known.
Mangoes do contain a variety of plant chemicals including quercetin, a flavonoid found widely in fruits, vegetables, tea and red wine, that has antihypertensive effects, and mangiferin, another plant chemical with significant health benefits.
In this fruit have high antioxidant activity that may help protect the body against damage due to oxidative stress.
Besides great taste, mangoes are rich in nutrients including folic acid, vitamins A and C, potassium and fibre.
Mangoes contain little sodium, almost no fat and they are low in calories
