=> I was bored with the program.

* Adjectives ending with V-ing used with nouns refering to things implying the active meaning
* Adjectives ending with V-ed used with nouns refering to people implying the passive meaning
2. It is / was not until…..that…..
Ex : She did’t become a teacher until 2008.
It was not until 2008 that she became a teacher
Ex : They didn’t begin to learn English until 1980.
=>It was not until 1980 that they began to learn English.

- Ask students to look at the pictures in the book and name the team
-Let students work in pairs to answer the questions

Host nation [houst][`nei∫n]: a city which organizes competition: nước chủ nhà
Governing body [`gʌvəniη][`bɔdi] a council which controls a college or city…: hội đồng quản trị.
Tournament [`tɔ:nəmənt] (n): a competition in which many players or teams play games against each other: vòng thi đấu.
Trophy [`troufi] (n): a large silver cup,..that you get for winning a competiton: cúp (vật được làm giải thưởng khi giành phần thắng trong cuộc thi đấu thể thao).
Continent [`kɔntinənt] (n) 1 of the 7 main areas of land on the earth: lục địa.
Runner up (n): a person or team that finishes second in the race or competition : Á quân
Attract [ə`trækt] (v) give attention to sth: thu hút.

While-reading:
Task 1
- Let students open the book and read silently while teacher reads aloud and correctly
- Ask students to read themselves and write down some information
- Let students work in pairs to do the task1
