Part II. GRAMMAR
Relative adverb : WHERE
Usages:

-WHERE is used to join 2 simple sentences into
a compound sentence.
WHERE refers to a place, replaces the word
“here, there or a noun of place” in sentences
e.g: a) This is the place. I was born there.
This is the place where I was born.
Note:
We can use at which/in which instead of where.
e.g: b) The school is now rebuilt. We studied at
this school 15 years ago.
The school at which we studied 15 years
ago is now rebuilt.

c) This is the room. Our teachers often have
meetings in this room.
This is the room in which our teachers
often have meetings.

Use where or in which/at which to combine these two pairs of sentences.

1.This is the house. Shakespeare was born there.

2. That is the house. Presley used to live in it.


3. Do you remember the bus stop? I used to wait for you at that bus stop.
This is the house where Shakespeare was born.

Singular nouns and plural nouns
How do you form a plural noun from a singular one?
Singular noun + -s /-es >> plural noun

Irregular:

Note: add -es when the word
ends in -s/-ss/-sh/-ch/-x
