Christmas is the biggest festival of the year in most of Britain. Christmas Day is on 25th December. At Christmas, people give presents and send Christmas cards to each other. They put special trees, Christmas trees, in their homes and decorate them with coloful lights and other pretty things. Children believe that Santa Claus visits them and brings them presents at night. Many people go to church at Christmas and sing Christmas songs. On Christmas Day, a special Christmas dinner is eaten, usually with turkey and hot pudding (a kind of cake made with dried fruit).
