Ann and I are not only neighbors but also classmates. She turned seventeen yesterday and her parents held a birthday party for her. I was one of those invited.
The party began at a quarter to three in the afternoon. There were twenty of us, the members of class 11A1 at Tran Van Bay High School, gathering in Ann’s house. She did not like to have the party at a restaurant because it was noisy and expensive.
We gave presents to Ann and she happily opened them. It must be exciting to receive all those presents. After that, Ann’s mother served us soft drinks and biscuits.
