I/ The past simple tense.

2. The uses:
a)It denotes an action happened in the past and completely ends at the present.Used with some adverbs:lastago, yesterday, in 1998……

b)It is used with the adverbs of frequency to denote a habit in the past and it doesn’t happened at the present anymore.
E.x: I usually stayed up late last year.
He always went to school late 2 years ago.
*In this case we can use the structure “S+ used to + infiinstead.
E.x: I used to stay up late last year.
He used to go to school late two years ago.
II/ Conditional sentences type 2 with “wish”.
Ex: I wish I had a computer.( the fact is that you don’t have a computer.)

*Form : S + wish (es) + S + V( past tense).
*Note :-Tobe : S + wish(es) + S + were
Ex: She wishes she were younger.
