After finishing the lesson, students will be able to talk about the environmental problems.
II. Content
* Vocabulary: dump, dynamite, deforestation, pesticide
* Grammar: Conditional sentences: type I

Teacher’s book, picture, cassette / Student’s book, poster, tape
IV. Procedures.
Teacher & students’ activities
Main content
1. Pre – reading. (10’)
Teacher asks students some questions:
- Will we have no fresh water to use if we pollute the water?
- Will there be big floods every year if we cut down the trees in the forests?
- Will a lot of sea creatures be well preserved if people stop using dynamite for fishing?
Students answer.
Teacher introduces the lesson.
Students listen to the teacher.
Teacher gives some new words
Students write new words.
Teacher asks them to read.
2. While – reading. (20’)
Teacher plays cassette
Students listen to the tape
Teacher plays it again & asks them to read after the tape
Students work in pairs
Teacher calls them to read
Students read
Teacher asks them to match the names in column A with the tasks in column B, then write the full sentences
Students work in pairs
Teacher call them to answer the questions
Students answer
Teacher corrects their mistakes
3. Post – reading.(10’)
Teacher asks them to retell the passage again
Students work in pair
Teacher calls them to answer
