A. WHAT DO YOU DO ? (1)
I. Objectives :By the end of the lesson Sts will be able to :
-Understand the dialogue between Minh and Hoa about popular after school activities, making suggestion and invitation.
II. Language content
- :Structures: Let’s. ., Why don’t. .?
- Vocabulary: relax, invite, practice, come along.
1. Skills : listening, speaking, reading and writing
2. Educational aim : Sts should choose the useful activities for themselves.
III. Techniques : Communicative- approach . Eliciting, pairwork, game.
IV.Teaching aids: pictures.
V. Procedure:
Teacher`s and students` activities
Content
Check-up:
-T ask Sts to read the 1st passage in B3 then answer some questions.
-Sts read then answer.
-Correct the mistakes.
Warm – up
-Have Sts play a game. One Student uses an action which can illustrate an activity. The whole class guess what it is.
-T encourages.
Pre-listening
-T asks Sts the questions :
+ What do you do after school?
-T has Sts look at the pictures and state these activities.
-T also gives the meanings of the new words.
-Sts practice pronunciation.
- Check vocabulary.
-T uses the technique : rub out and remember to check Sts` vocabulary.
While-listening
-Have Sts listen to the tape twice
-Then they practice the dialogue in pairs
-T calls some pairs to practice in front of the class.
-T corrects their mistakes.
-Have Sts work in pairs to answer the questions.
-T gives the correct answers.
Post-listening
-Have make up a new dialogue similar this dialogue. -- Sts works in pairs.
-T corrects their mistakes
Questions:
1.Which school does Tim go to?
2. Are eating and talking with friends popular activities worldwide?
3. Is recess short or long?
1. Listen then practice with a partner:
- relax(v): nghỉ ngơi
E.g: You should relax when you tired.
- invite(v): mời
- come along (v)=arrive: đến
Ex: Do you practice speaking English everyday?
- learn to play: học chơi
Ex: I,m learning to play the guitar.
- Let’s + V_inf…chúng ta hãy ( lời gợi ý)
Ex: Let,s go to the school cafeteria!
- Why don’t you + V…? tại sao lại không…?
Ex: Why don,t you come along?
Answer:
a) She’s doing her math homework.
b) They are going to get a cold drink in the cafeteria.
c) He’s in the music room.
d) He’s learning to play the guitar.
e) He usually meets his friends.
f) She likes playing volleyball.

- Develop their listening and speaking skills.
- Know some more activities after school.

- Adverbs of frequency.Adverbs of frequency.
- Present simple tense.
- Vocabulary:
1. Skills : listening, speaking, reading and writing
2. Educational aim : Sts should Sts should help their mom do the housework besides other activities.
III. Method and techniques : Communicative- approach . Eliciting, pairwork, game, answering and question.
IV.Teaching aids: pictures and poster,cards
