B. Procedures.
1. Warm up.
-T:(to class): My name`s An. I`m from Vietnam. Where are you from?
Ss:..........................................................
2. Check up old lesson.
-Ss play role in the characters ask and answer about names and their homelands.
Eg:+What`s your name? - My name`s Peter.
+Where are you from? - I`m from America.
3. New lesson.

1.Look, listen and repeat.
- Shows pictures,model the words,write them on the board.
+Vietnamese:ngườiViệtNam
+Singaporean:người Sing-ga-po
+English:ngườiAnh
+American:người Mỹ.
-Check sts’understanding/ Slap the board.
-Introduces the situation by asking:
+ Who are they?
+What are they talking?
-Plays the tape twice.
-Sets the scene and has Ss find out the new pattern
-Explains the new patten to Ss.
-Has Ss read the dialogue in pair.
-Calls some pairs to act out the dialogue.
2.Look and say.
-Asks Ss how they talk about nationalities.
-Presents the model sentences:
My name`s ________. I`m from ________.
I`m ___________.
Eg: I’m from London.I’m English.
-Shows A.2.Calsl good Ss act as model.
-Has Ss practice introducing in group of 4.
-Has some Ss introduce in front of class.
-Has Ss do ex 1(W.B)
-Gives answer keys.
3.Let`s talk.
-Has Ss look at the open sentences and tell the task.
-Has Ss practice introducing themselves in pair.T goes around and help when neccesary
-Has some pairs talk in front of the class.
-Has Ss to walk around the class and introduce themselves to their classmates.
-Has Ss do ex 2(page 6)
-Has Ss report the completed sentences in turn.
-Listen and copy the words:
-Listen and repeat the words in chorus and in pair
-Two teams of 4 sts take turns slapping the board.
-Look at A.1 and answer teacher’s questions.
They are Thu and Linda.They are talking about homeland.
-Look, listen and repeat.

-Listen to the T and guess the meaning of the pattern.
