UNIT7: MY NEIGHBORHOOD ( Pages 63,64 )
Lesson 1: Getting started & listen and read
I Aims:
-By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to learn the present perfect tense with for/ since, to listen and read the dialogue.
-To develop listening and reading skills.
-To educate Ss’ habit of learning English.
II. Language content:
- Present perfect tense.
- Comparision.
III. Teaching method:
-Pairs work, groups work, intensive reading and communicative method.
IV. Teaching aids:
- Lesson plan E.8, textbook, pictures, sub.board, tape and cassette...
V.Procedure:
Teacher’s activities
1. Getting started.(7’)
T asks Ss to match the names of places with the pictures.
T comments and goes on new lesson.
2. Listen and read.(33’)
2.1 Presentation
T sets the scene to Ss.
T supplies vocabulary on the board to Ss
T has Ss practice reading vocab in groups,
indiviually.
2.2. Practice
T plays the cassette twice.
T asks Ss to listen to the tape carefully.
T lets Ss read the dialogue silently.
T asks Ss to play a role of Nam and Na.
T asks Ss to work in pairs to do the exercise 2 on page 64.
T comments and corrects the mistakes to Ss.
2.3 Production
T supplies the formation of the present perfect tense.
The present perfect tense uses to express an action which happened in the past till to the present or future.
It uses to express an action has just happened.
T asks Ss to practice reading the dialogue aloud in front of class.
T remarks and corrects the mistakes to Ss.
3. Consolidation and homework (5’)
T asks Ss to reread the dialogue at home and learn vovab by heart
T asks Ss to prepare new lesson: Lesson 2.
Speak & listen and do the exercises in workbook

2. Complete the sentences. Use the words from the dialogue.
Ss: Work in pairs to do the exercise 2 on page 64.

-Pairs work, groups work, communicative method, intensive speaking.
