LESSON: 2 LISTEN
I- Aims and ojectives:
- Language content: - To help the Ss revise structures of wh-questions, yes-no questions, simple past.
To provide some new words relating to the way, the place on the bus route with the letters on the map.
- Language function: To listen about some information of the place on the bus route with the letters on the map.
- Educational aim: To know about the place on the bus route with the letters on the map.
1- Language:
a- Vocabulary: route, pond, parking lot, pick somebody up
b- Structures: wh-questions, yes-no questions, simple past.
2- Skills: Integrated skills.
3- Educational factor: Knowing to take part in the activities on the farm.
Knowing to view and recognize the surroundings.
II- Teacher and Students’preparation:
1- Method: Communicative approach.
2- Techniques: Explanation, translation, using pictures, groupwork, pairwork.
3- Materials needed:Textbook, pictures, cassette player.
4- Students’preparation: Pictures, new lesson.
5- Previous exercises: The Teacher’s key to the last exercises.
III- Procedure in class:
1- Stabilization (3ms) a- Warm up: Greeting.
b- Checking absence: Who’s absent today?
2- Checking up the previous knowledge (5ms):
* Questions:
Asks the Ss to read the text, answer the questions and write some new words.
1- Where is ba’s village?
2- How did ba and his family get to the village?
* Keys to the questions:
1- It’s 60 km the north of Ha noi.
2- They got to the village by bus.
3- Presentation of the new materials:

* LISTEN
I. PRE-LISTENING:
- Introduces the lesson:
a- Have you ever been on a trip to the village?
b- How do you get there?
c- What can you see on the way to the village/ pond/ banyan tree/ bamboo forest?
- Teaches some new words:
+ route (n) (explanation)
+ pond (n) (realia)
+ parking lot = car parking ( picture)
+ pick somebody up (v) ( translation).
- Asks the Ss to read the new words.
- checks understanding of the new words by using the technique: what and where.
- Sets the sence: “ You will listen to the trip to Ba’s village”.
- Listen to her and answer.
- Focus on the teacher’s explanation and write down.
- Play the game with the teacher’s guiding.
- Listen to.

1. No, it didn’t.
2. Yes, it did.
3. The road ended before a big store beside a pond. Yes, it did . It dropped everyone off at the parking lot.
